Internal Auditor Kelowna B.C.
As an Internal Auditor you are exposed to a variety of exciting assignments in the financial services industry. A critical team member responsible for conducting risk management and internal audit assignments, you work with numerous clients, the majority of which are credit unions. Our clients will benefit from your demonstrated experience, knowledge, and critical thinking. Working in a role of empowerment, you fully plan, examine and report on many aspects of internal controls, as well as support our clients’ enterprise risk management programs. This position requires travel throughout the Okanagan Valley.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with 3-5years of financial services or internal audit experience who can self-manage and operate in a virtual work environment. Not only do you have strong communication and interpersonal skills, you also have the ability to challenge the norm and encourage our clients to embrace change and performance improvement. Drawing on your experience in audit and risk assessment, you are comfortable in critically evaluating our clients’ operations with a view to improving both risk environments and operating effectiveness. As this role grows, you also bring experience in leading other associates and support the team concept.
As a team player, you also realize the value of learning from your peers and you conduct yourself in a professional and congenial manner. You are comfortable interacting with all levels of client representatives including Board of Directors and Committees, Executives. Management and Staff.
Previous audit or consulting experience is a must for this role. You will also have experience in financial services. In your previous roles, you have managed assignments and can illustrate your ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines. You have the ability to understand complex situations hone in on key issues quickly. You will possess or be working towards completion of a combination of the following: bachelor degree, CIA, CA, CMA, CGA, CISA or CFE. Consideration will also be given to industry equivalent experience.
